The Cannes Film Festival is such a great place to see some fashion styling not welcomed on certain Red carpets of then than the Met Gala. This year there were plenty of sheer fabrics to go around. From the entire dress to just at the neckline, waist or skirt. I love when it looks like there are just sequins and laces lining a body.

Here is an old illustration I did a while back in Markers, Color Pencils & Micro Pens. I’m trying to inspire myself to start doing it again. Most of my work don’t have faces; I despise them. I concentrate more on the clothing or the hair. Any way, hopefully I will have some time coming up to start this back up.
I love the cover editorial in the May 2012 Elle featuring Rihanna. She looks great (her hair could be brushed a bit), but she still looks great. I like how this is such a conversational spread, she’s just not modeling great clothes, but it tells a story.

I know there are photos from the Met gala everywhere on the net; and I just felt like I should not make a post about it, however I just had to. The Fashion was ah-mazing. Here are some of my favorites, Emma Stone in Lanvin obviously being my number one choice. That dress is covered in about 3,000 plastic flowers and red crystals; it’s just so much fun.
