a bigger splash

Doutzen Kroes shines in fabulous swimwear for the June cover shoot of Vogue China.
I would just like to warn everyone that over the next few weeks, my posts may seem a bit “beach heavy”.  I’m in much need of a beach and not just any beach; one in the Caribbean.

I love how fresh her make-up and styling looks.  It goes great with all the floral prints and airy dresses.  The whole editorial just feels relaxed like a Nice sunday afternoon; running through a meadow filled with daisies (a little exaggeration, but you get the idea)

inspiration friday

I absolutely love the composition of these photos, they’re so simple and emphasize the model, Vanessa Poly, so much because of all the white space.  Oh if some of my art teachers from high school and even some from college would have seen these (or even been apart of the editing), they would have just huffed and puffed, mumbling “too much white space, too much”.  However, it works so well here, especially when Natasha Poly seems to be propped up, laying or even sitting on an object ever so purposely erased from the first 3 photos, the last one sees the object.  Anyway wonderful compositions created by photographer Willy Vanderperre for Vogue China.
