elie saab s12 couture

This line screams spring time with the pastel pinks, peaches, yellows, mint greens & baby blue colors running throughout the pieces. Light and weightless full skirts & slim column gowns featuring delicate details & an oversized print.  Elie Saab has created such a beautiful line, I would love to see the dresses in person.  Just to look at the details, wish I could.

jeweled dolce & gabbana ss12

I was looking through some of the photos on Dolce & Gabbana’s facebook page and I saw there AMAZING S/S12 Jeweled Bodices. They’re so stunning; jewels of different sizes, flocking, tassels; the amount of detail that was put into these garments, I’m sure was time consuming. I just finished “hot fixing” rhinestuds to a pair of mens underwear and I thought that was a bit time consuming. However, these pieces look intricate, I wonder how long some of them took. I’m also wondering if they are heavy. I must have one, but I will just deal with a D.I.Y Jeweled Bra Top.

alice+olivia s/s12

Stacey Bendet’s Alice + Olivia S/S12 Line looks like I just did a time warp travel to the 60’s.  Anyone can pull an outfit the way it’s styled and wear it as is, or one can easily add individual pieces to there own outfits for everyday purposes. Each piece has such versatility; which makes this a great line. Thinking back on the previous Resort 2012 Line this is such a smooth transition it’s great.  The colors, silhouettes and textures run hand in hand so well; that is makes it look like one on going collection through out the year.  With the blacks, whites and neutrals at the end; seems like the transition into fall will be just as easy.

d.efect s/s 2012; jackets

Say Hello to the D.Efect S/S 2012 Line; the Line consists of more that the 3 above looks, but these Jackets are my favorite.  Apparently Baltic brand D.Efect has been around since 2009, but this is the first time I have come across them from my daily Trendland newsletter. Such beautiful pieces with a delicate color palette.  One of these jackets are certainly a must have for Spring/ Summer 2012, even now they would be nice.  Too bad this brand is only sold in the UK.

zac posen fall 2011 (i’m late)

I know I’m very late with talking about Zac Posen’s Fall 2011 collection since it was viewed in December.  However, when I received my daily Shopbop email with the headline Introducing Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2011 | Bring on the Dramaand the featured image was the Laser Cut Flared Peacoat.  I just had to look at the entire collection and I must say I fell in LOVE.  From the sexy curve hugging silhouettes to the pops of jeweled toned blues greens and rust colored orange (the colors actually remind me of peacock feathers).  The silhouettes are simple with little detailing with the laser cuts and the seaming.  He also added pieces including lots of fur.  Anyway I just wanted to share this with the world, but I’m pretty sure most of you already know about this.

P.S.  I wish I could afford that Pea Coat, but I’m sure there will be something similar.

paper crown by lauren conrad

I absolutely LOVE the first collection for Lauren Conrad’s Paper Crown.  I am a fan of some of her pieces from her line at Kohls, but this just really brings it home for me.  I’m drawn to the romantic colors which are paired with the harshness of dark navy and black.  I went thru the entire look book and I would definitely wear just about ever look as individual pieces, or how there are presented through out the collection.  It’s suppose to hit store this month; once this gets out I am adding some of these pieces to my wardrobe.

Now the Holiday Collection really isn’t my favorite.  Out of 21 looks, I liked 6.  Don’t get me wrong the collection is chic and filled with romance which is what Paper Crown is all about, right?  However, for me I would probably wear about 3 of the above looks; 1. Nude Dress, 2. Black Velvet Dress & 3. The Nude Blouse and Denim Shorts.  I love the lace overlay skirt and the long tan skirt but for over all looks those are my top 3.

P.S. It doesn’t help that I think the website is very well designed.  I’m glad it is, because I am a snob when it comes to browsing websites.  if I find it hard to navigate,  the font is just to hard to read or there is too much going on, I will not give it a second thought and leave to never return.  The Paper Crown site is very clean and well put together.

more resort 2012

Chloë Sevigny for O.C.

Laser cut leather is a beautiful update to Lace, eyelet or crochet. My favorite piece from this line is definitely the White Laser Cut Dress.

T by Alexander Wang

Grey & Heathered Hues with Pops of The New Neon Green & Bright Blue; this is my type of party. This collection is VERY Chic & ready to wear.

Marc by Marc Jacobs

To me Marc Jacobs can do no wrong. Having these fun & playful silhouettes while adding bold prints and bright colors makes you want to leave the cold north weather and travel somewhere warm just to wear some of these items.

Diesel Black Gold

A very soft palette; both in fabrics and prints. This seems to be a bit different from the Diesel I know, but somehow this works.

alice+olivia resort 2012

I love the 2012 Resort Collection from Stacey Bendet’s Alice + Olivia. The brights, stripes and hits of Ombre are wonderful & translates well into the Maxi Dresses  & Skirts to the short & long jumpers. This is a very fun, vibrant & sassy collection.  Love.
